Everyone you know and love is dead. No, really. The end of the world(and every world in the multiverse) came and went with a bang, and in the aftermath, nothing and no one were left alive. Everything was, literally, dead silent for quite a while, until the gods(those responsible for destroying the multiverse in the first place) grew bored without their little toys. So, now they're making a new playground and bringing back those they had slaughtered.
Welcome to Aeterna, your new afterlife. It seems you have no choice in this second life, and get to live it whether you want to or not. It even comes with a new(possibly improved) body! Lucky you. Have a happy afterlife in that new skin of yours!
